HELMET CAM SOP
MOUNTING
Helmet Camera should be mounted upside down on rim of the fire helmet. this will allow for easy access to the power / record button, and give the best Point of View (POV) for the viewer. Pay attention to make the camera as level as possible during mounting. Helmet should be put on and second person used to eyeball the level of the unit before tightening set screws.
SHIFT CHANGE
Camera should be swapped between operators during shift change and a fresh battery exchanged in the unit. Lens should be cleaned with lens cleaner and Kimtech Wipes. You many need to unscrew the lens and clean the inside of the casing

COMMANDERS INTENT:
To enable the user to easily operate the helmet camera to ensure we are capturing usable footage to support the departments marketing efforts.
OPERATION
Pushing the button on the Camera should be used on any run you are wearing your fire helmet. Do not worry about HIPAA Laws. We will sort out the footage, blur faces and license plates etc. After a long run where the camera has been running, the battery should be changed out when you arrive back at the fire house.
PLEASE DO NOT CHANGE THE .txt FILE IN THE CAMERA OR CAMERA SETTINGS
